Getting the Best Out of Cyber Monday
Warm up your fingers, Cyber Monday is quickly approaching and expected to pull in close to 2 billion dollars in revenue. Is this online event all it’s cracked up to be? We think so! It’s faster, cheaper and you avoid the crowds.
Cyber Monday falls after Black Friday which originated because it marked the general time when retailers would move out of the red (negative cash flow) and into the black (positive cash flow). So how can cyber hunters stay in the black while taking advantage of those great deals? We’ve got some tips below
1. Do your homework
In order to get your money’s worth, take the time to compare prices on various sites. For Canadians, great deals can be found on books, electronics, clothing and travel.
2. Consider shipping
Hidden costs like shipping and tax can mean the different between a steal and a swindle . There are many sites that offer free shipping when you spend over a specific amount. Read the fine print to ensure you know all of the facts.
3. Look for Security
Only shop on well known trusted sites. Never do online shopping using public computers or public wi-fi networks.
4.Use a credit card
Credit cards offer consumer protection against fraud. If possible use a credit card with a low maximum spending limit for extra protection.
